Joan Johannes Hicklin - Broker/Owner
| Joan has over 35 years involved in real estate brokerages. Her first real estate license was obtained in the Northern California area in 1962. Her California real estate career continued in the early 1970's with her own office in San Francisco dealing mainly with income producing properties. Later in the 70's she lived in southeastern Alaska where she was the office manager for Petrolane Propane, and after that she returned back to the lower-48 and the state of Washington where she owned and operated a large restaurant, bar and motel. In the early 1980's Colorado called and the beautiful mountains have been home ever since. At that time real estate called to her again, and her real estate broker's license was hanging on the wall. |  |
She has had hands-on experience in the hospitality business, running various types of businesses, working with income properties and all phases of real estate sales as well as various commercial endeavors. She can spot good investments, be it your personal residence, land for present and future use, or an income-producing property. She believes that holding costs for investments are an important factor to consider and she knows how to analyze financial statements to achieve that end. Joan often says that her goal is - "When arriving at the closing table, both buyers and sellers show up and leave with smiles on their faces, and both sides have the true feeling that they have been dealt with fairly and honestly and with professionalism. |
